Archery

Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex will have two archery sight in ranges, as well as a 3-D target range that includes two, 14 target course. Targets at the sight in range will span between 10 and 80 yards. The 3-D target range will offer a variety of challenging shots that will range from 15 yards all the way up to 80 yards. Animal targets will be brought out for special events.

Archery Range Hours (Archery Sight In/3D)

  • Monday-Sunday: half hour before sunrise-half hour after sunset

Archery Sight In Range Rules

  • This range is primarily for the use of archery sight in and practice.
  • Shooting is to be directed at target faces only.
  • Loose clothing is to be secured to the shooter.
  • Do not nock arrows until everyone is behind the shooting line.
  • Keep arrows pointed down range in the direction of the target.
  • Wait until all arrows have been shot before retrieving them down range.
  • Destroying targets to retrieve arrows is forbidden.
  • Absolutely no horseplay will be tolerated.
  • Pick up trash when finished.
  • Immediately report any unsafe behavior to range officers.

3D Archery Range Rules

  • Shooting is to be directed at target faces only.
  • Do not remove or move targets.
  • Shoot only from marked areas.
  • No shooting from elevated structures of any type (tree stands, ladders, stumps), except where designated.
  • Alteration of the course is prohibited.
  • Stay on designated trails.
  • No member of a shooting group is to step forward of the position until all members have completed shooting at that particular target.
  • When searching for lost arrows, stand your bow crossways in front of the target to indicate your intent.
  • Absolutely no horseplay will be tolerated.
  • Pick up trash when finished.
  • Immediately report any unsafe behavior to range officers.
