Game Bird Preserve

Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex will also include dog training fields and a 150 acre bird hunting preserve. The dog training fields will be fenced and split into three separate fields. Included in the training fields will be two retriever training ponds. Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex will offer bird hunting opportunities for ring neck pheasant and Chukar on the bird hunting preserve Cost will be $35 per bird for non club members , $30 per bird for club members , for rooster pheasant only.  Chukar cost will be $25 per bird non club members and $20 per bird club members. We require a five bird minimum as well as 48 hours notice for scheduling purposes. Accomodations can be made to suit all levels of bird hunters.

* A valid Montana Upland Bird hunting liscense is required to hunt pheasants at BCSSC

• Monday-Sunday: half hour before sunrise-half hour after sunset

Game Bird Preserve

• A valid Montana Conservation License is required to hunt at the preserve.
• Restricted to male rooster species only
• Preserve season is September 1 - March 31

Dog Training Field Rules

• These fields are primarily for the use of gun dog training, domestic dog training, and recreational dog use.
• Users must park in designated parking lot.
• Field use is limited to one and a half hours per user.
• Dog(s) must remain under user’s control while in parking lot.
• Clean up of dog waste in the parking lot is mandatory.
• Waste bags and waste cans are provided.
• Users and dogs are to remain in the fenced boundaries.
• Climbing fences or exiting fields is not permitted except at parking lot access gates.
• No shotgun use or hunting is permitted during field hours.
• Shotgun use is permitted only during a reserved pheasant hunt.
• Use of blanks in a training pistol or training aid is permitted.
